Jacob is an economist and lawyer who specializes in studying how people make decisions in uncertain situations, which is critical to understanding behavior and markets. With a JD and PhD in law and economics from Vanderbilt University, Jacob is a tenure-track assistant professor of economics and a licensed attorney with experience clerking in federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. He serves as an expert witness, consults on a range of issues, and conducts valuation studies. With a background in agriculture, Jacob takes a special research interest in property, environmental, and natural resource topics.
